ABCNextPlans adds OCR and PDF Features
Winston-Salem, NC, August 19, 2010 – ABC NextPlans, a project information management and distribution (PIMD) service, has added Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Portable Document Format (PDF) capabilities to their platform. These additions will allow contractors to estimate projects more efficiently and effectively.
“ABC NextPlans listened to our customers and has implemented OCR and PDF features into our platform.” says Zeb Sharpe, of ABC NextPlans. “Starting September 1, 2010 all posted construction projects (black and white or color) will be PDF with OCR capabilities. This enhancement will allow our clients to work more efficiently by letting them quickly search for keywords words within construction drawings, specifications and addendums.”

Winston-Salem, NC, March 29, 2010 – Sharpe Images launched its first International Storefront today for BeaconMedaes, an Atlas Copco Company. Marketing collateral needed by BeaconMedaes reps in the UK will now be managed online, facilitated by Sharpe Images. Sharpe Images purchases NextPlans from Again Development to optimize nationwide growth.
Winston-Salem, NC, February 20, 2010 - Sharpe Images, a 58-year reprographics company based in Winston-Salem, NC, announced the purchase of NextPlans®, a project information management and distribution service, from Again Development in Westford, MA.
“It was time for Sharpe Images to pursue the acquisition of NextPlans,” says Greg Sharpe, CEO. “Sharpe Images has been the largest reseller of NextPlans since its inception and our clients have been the driving force behind many of the advancements NextPlans has undergone.”
